Match Report/Information

Sometimes cricket is the winner which is good because today no one was.

Having had Spofforth 1/3 then 7/4 when the rain came Ripley were looking good. Roberts batted really well, playing straight and timing it well. Kenyon and Lawson threw the bat at the end. 94 was a good recovery.

Ripley started well, DBH hitting a massive 6 - Kenyon bowled tightly and Gowlett bowled a great line. A couple of run outs didnt help the cause, but needing 12 to tie off the last 2 overs with the tail in, a draw was a fair result.

Well done to Spofforth on their promotion (by my calculations), we will see you on Saturday for the nidderdale tie......
