Match Report/Information

On a rainy day in Ripley, vice skipper J Keane was given his first run as skipper and did something I never do - won the toss. On choosing to bat, he and I put on 80 for the first wicket, which set the platform for a par score. A Seeber was the pick of the bowlers and Brenty is going to be a nightmare after this 3!!

Chasing, Ripley bowled mainly spin due to the fading light and Tom Wilson (13) on his senior debut put us old hands to shame - a real talent for the future. C Byrom and B Christmas kept it interesting right to the last over, where we managed to hold on in the gloom.

Good game against two well matched teams.
