Match Report/Information
Dan's batting, unlike a ripe stilton, is not improving with age; Adam batted with a touch of class noticeably absent in the meaty thwacks of Bobby. Our bowling was honest and augurs well for future matches. Our turn to bat and the sheer pace of Dan was too much, though Ed did manage an elegant off drive for 4. Amy just loves batting against Wath; when we were last in the same league, she scored 67 off the 2 Harrises, and in the return match, she had to hobble off with a sore toe with 34 to her name. So, including this time, it's 131 runs, dismissed once. Highlight of the game - Ian's giggling while batting. Ian, when you scored that very quick 70 against the Spennys, you didn't hoot with chortles of laughter at any point. There's a clue there somewhere. PS On April 1st, l heard that the Spennys had put in planning application for a mega new toilet block, with proper plumbing, air conditioning and comfy seats. Well, you can live in hope.
