Leake won the toss and chose to bat. A very rapid 47 from Richard Kirby was then followed by a quickfire 69 from James Wilkinson, leaving Jamie Hogg 23 to take the score to an imposing 185-5. T Gaffney with 1-13 off 3 was the pick of the Rugby Club bowlers.Rugby Club made an excellent start with D Mulholland 36 and A Fishburn 37 but 2-25 by Tom Hogg and 2-23 by James Wilkinson ensured the Rugby Club finished 30 runs short.
