Match Report/Information
Once again the game with Waggon and Horses was played in a very good spirit. Waggon won the toss and decided to bat but looked like the wrong decisions as Bielby and Armstrong bowled tight and picked up a few quick wickets. Lumb and Corner steadied the ship with a decent knock as Brompton choose to rotate the bowling to give a few lads a chance. Waggon were all out for a par score of 96.
Brompton decided instead of the renowned middle order collapse they would start early with 4 of the top 5 batsmen getting out for a duck. Will Raw played some nice shorts and was unlucky to be given out caught behind but that only brought Tiplady to the crease, and with the support of young Palliser just about seen us home. Once tiplady hit the winning run he still wanted to keep running to try and improve his average (Fine!!!)
Special mention to Allan who took a great caught and bowled.
