Match Report/Information
A rather weak Mavs team travelled up to Spennithorne on wed evening, new captain A. Hines lost the toss and Spennithorne chose to bat first. They got off to a good start through T. Mawer, however Mavs did take wickets at vital times but Spennithorne still managed to post a good total of 138, partly down to numerous dropped catches (Moseley, Hines, Southgate)!
Mavs then sent out a new opening pair, maybe the wrong decision as we were 0-2 after 2 overs! For the first time, all the footy lads didn't contribute leaving D. Dale stranded 9 not out. Good effort getting 8 ducks in 1 innings lads.
Champagne moment goes to P. Moseley however, taking a 1 handed, diving catch at mid wicket (shame you dropped the dolly 2 mins before).
