Match Report/Information
Mavs travelled to masham on a fine evening, sun shining and everybody in high spirits. The game turned out to be a good game played in a fantastic atmosphere so thanks to mash am for that as it was a pleasure to play in.
Masham won the toss and elected to have a bowl, mavs got off to a great start with R. Carruthers finally getting some runs, shame the rest struggled on a good wicket. Some late order hitting from the rabbit P. Moseley and D. Dale made the score a little bit more respectable and we finished with 116.
Mashams innings got off to a flying start with D. Heke scoring a quick 44. He was supported well by I. Jones. They both rode their luck whilst some choice mavs fielding helped them on their way. Special praise goes to our "new Kyle" in the field and also the moment that will stay long in all mavs memories, A. Cunningham (hunty) attempting to take a regulation catch with his arms aloft above his head but wide open, maybe we should have explained how to catch before we went onto the field of play but never mind! Luckily he did manage to get a hand on it otherwise he was gonna be tasting some leather!
All in all a great, enjoyable game all round. Roll on next weeks comedy roadshow.
