Match Report/Information
A close encounter of the cricket kind, just shaded by Dales who batted first and reached 98 in their 20 overs on a tricky up and down track, helped in the main by Gareth (Fez) Mulhern and Jim Uca who hit two big sixes down the ground, the second one being well caught by Brompton's Nick Armstrong who unfortunately had to step over the line in taking it. In reply Brompton were going along nicely keeping ahead of the rate until that wily old fox, Jonny Simpson came on and caused trouble from the start with his excellent length and variations of pace. Gradually Brompton were pegged back and back and just failed by a run or two to pass Dales's total.
