Match Report/Information
Scruton won the toss and decided to bat on what was a very dry and well used wicket. After a slow start with only 15 runs coming off the first 8 overs for the loss of 4 wickets due mainly to the tight bowling of Tweddle 4 overs for only 10 and Wallach 6 overs, 4 wickets for a miserly 16. The innings changed with the coming to the crease of Richard Easthaugh(34) and later Alex O'Neil(17 not out) and Scruton finished with, what was thought to be, an under par 90.
Waggon and Horses get off to a poor start loosing two wickets in the first over, but then 8 was scored off the next over with consequetive fours coming from the bat of J Stephens. However the nature of the pitch and some excelent bowling by Stuart Gallagher (who finished with seven wickets for only five runs) was to prove Waggon's undoing. However we found our hosts both sporting and welcoming and Thorpe Perrow was a lovely setting for an evening's entertainment. We are already looking forward to coming back next year thanks lads
