Match Report/Information
In the final game of the season Newton found the Waggon bowling attack difficult to get away. Middle order batsmen Ian Noonan top scoring with 14 as Newton closed on 63 for 9 in there 20 overs. Neil Wallach the pick of a good bowling effort taking 3 wkts for only 10 runs. In reply the Waggon batsmen showed no defence to Newtons opening barrage as Steven Coombs took 4 wkts for only 3 runs in 3 overs. 12 year old Ewan Barlow then cleaned up the remainder with a 4 wicket haul for only 8 runs as Waggon collapsed to 21 all out. Neil Wallach top scoring with 4 runs to claim the M.O.M from Newton.
