Match Report/Information
On a great summers evening Masham entertained an ever improving Richmond Mavs. Losing the toss Masham decided to bat which meant we then had to lock ourselves in the away team room as we were 3 players down because Gaz Nic wanted a Mcdonalds on the way but used the "traffic-jam" excuse!
Finally the match got underway and we nailed them in all areas, bowling was ace, fielding was just brill. 2 moments stand out are two amazing catches firstly from sloppy who was at mid on back pedaled for about 15 yards to catch a beauty near the boundary and then later on Furbs caught another top notcher, it was hit to him but was dropping in front so he just dived and took a very tasty mother! 2 definite contenders for the end of season awards.
The 'none cricketers' bowled impressively with Slops, Tomo and beanz all taking good wickets which led to bowling them out for 97.
Batting was pretty slow, for a moment i actually thought i was watching a test match (Micky Lay) but he did a professional job and stayed in all game to grab us the victory. He shared his innings with 9 partners, big shout outs to Furbs, kizzie, Tomo and Gaz Nic for getting some lovely runs in there too.
Things are on the up lads so i reckon were gonna win the league.
