Match Report/Information
Wagon and Horses played host to Scruton and lost the toss. Scruton elected to bat on a low bouncing wicket. It started slow with tight fielding reducing the opportunity to take runs. Wickets fell early with one to Allen and 2 to Tweddle opening the bowling. With runs being scarce a forced run was taken which resulted in a well taken run out. A bowling change brought Lumb and Bailey into the action. More tight, accurate bowling saw them take three wickets a piece, including one excellent catch and one juggled by surprise feilder, Stephens, bowling them out for a miserly 27.
Wagon opened with a new pair of, regular, Tweddle and Stephens. Stephens was looking attacking and hit out to long on, unfortunately the young lad out there took his first ever catch, according to the scorer, and Stephens walked for 3. Allen entered the fray and, with some hard hitting, including nearly cleaning out the umpire, finished off the game with a quick 19.
A well played game with another victory for Wagon.
