Match Report/Information
On a cooler night, than we have had of late, and on a green wicket, which is all we can hope for this season, Scruton won the toss and decided to bat. The openers Plews and Hinton soon returned to the pavilion hardly having troubled the scorers and when Clemens was out having scored a quick fire 17 and Wilson almost straight after some rebuilding was required and with some careful batting from Wright (17), Atkinson (15 not out) and Earl (18 not out) Scruton managed to get to 80. The pick of the Eryholme bowlers was Hull who bowled his full allocation taking three wickets for 27 and man of the match Evans 17 for 2 at the business end of the innings.
Eryholme came out to bat and won in the fourteenth over with only the loss of Leggot to Wilson for 9. Biglin finishing on 33 not out and Olly King 35 not out. Thanks to our hosts for a sporting good natured contest.
