Match Report/Information

The hosts got a off to a flying start and looked to be on for a big score smashing 44 from the first 5 overs. The breakthrough came in the seventh over when Eddy 'Flash Bang' Falshaw's hardwork paid off. A sharp caught & bowled from Roge 'make them dodge' Smart took care of A Melbourne before he could get settled. However Hodges continued the fight, hammering 10 boundaries on his way to 59 before an inspired bowling change saw Craig Broadley JNR remove the key man with a ball that 'literally did everything.' The hosts ended on 111 with Broadley picking up two more wickets from solid catches in the deep by the 'flash bang' and A'oap'B.

In reply the visitors had a rather more casual start until Andrew 'the tan man' Sturdy hit a six but was shorlty removed by S Coombs LBW. After 10 overs the game was nicely poised as the visitors had exactly half the runs required. Step forwrd Dwain Deke on debut. A couple of streaky aerial shots helped get his eye in before cracking 31 off A Melbournes first over. A solid 22 Not out from Sam ' Ian Biel' Gabriel saw the visitors home in the 14th over.

With players returning from injury Masham have a strong squad to pick from ahead of next weeks game against perrow.
