Match Report/Information
Newton won the toss and elected to bat. A superb opening spell from Chris Taylor (2-15 from 5 overs) kept the scoring to a minimum and despite some big hitting from Spence (28) newton were only able to post 94, with Tony Clark taking 3-21 from 5 overs. Both Tanfield openers were dismissed cheaply before Andy Ganderton steadied the ship with a quick 16, but the match was won by junior Reece Farron, who hit a brilliant unbeaten 35 to see Tanfield home by 3 wickets with 4 balls to spare.
