Match Report/Information
Spennithorne openers got there team off to a fine start scoring 71 before J.Kitchenman was bowled for 32. Fellow opener T.Mawer carried his bat and reached his 50 in the last over finishing on 53 as Spennithorne totalled 102 for 3 wickets. In reply Newton found runs hard to come by early on before A.Melbourne cut loose with a typical quick 19 before holing out going for another big shot. L.Hatfield 18 and D.Thompson 34 not out then shared 41 for the 6th wicket getting Newton within the finishing post. With 4 to win from the last over Thompson dispatched the first ball out of the ground to secure Newton's first win of the season.
