Match Report/Information
Richmond Mavericks won the toss and elected to bat first, of which they got off to a very fast start with the in form M. Layfield scoring freely for his 42. Losing wickets around him wasn't a problem as Mavs still had M. Brown to come in down the order and score a superb 75 not out, which helped the Mavericks reach a big total of 175.
Crakehall got off to a steady start with the openers but then a calamity run out enabled mavs to take their first wicket. Mavs then took control of the game and although crakehall only lost 5 wickets they were never up with the rate required.
Crakehall then kindly offered us back to their pub, making the mistake of telling the mavs boys that there was food on. mavs didn't realise that the cricket food was on one side and the quoit food was on the other side, mavs thought it was us one side and crakehall the other so there was some amusing faces as the crakehall lads came in for their food to find it was all gone!! sorry lads but cheerz for the game and the food!!
