Match Report/Information
After an absence of seventeen years Scruton returned to the Wensleydale League. In a very exciting game Scruton scored 117 for 4 thanks to Ian Place's 35 not out and Richard Easthaugh's undefeated 50, with the pick of Crakehall's bowlers L Haslem's 2 for 25
In reply Crakehall opened well with A Chadwick 24 and G McKellan 34 putting on 46 for the first wicket.In an exciting finish, with the light making it difficult for the batsmen, the winning runs were scored off the fourth ball of the last over. The pick of Scuton's bowlers were A Mair taking 3 wickets for a miserly 14 and G Minnis bowling his six overs finishing with figures of 2 for 36.
